1. Requesting a correction or claim
Email info@hookedup.org with the listing URL, requested change, your name and role, and the best way to contact the business. Do not send sensitive identity documents unless HookedUp.org specifically requests them through an appropriate channel.
2. Ownership and authority verification
HookedUp.org may use one or more of the following:
- An email address on the business’s official domain.
- Confirmation through a published business phone number.
- A government business record, license, or filing.
- Proof of control over the business website or an established profile.
- A signed authorization from an owner or authorized manager.
Verification confirms authority to request edits; it is not an endorsement of the business, its products, or its legal compliance.
3. Competing or disputed claims
If more than one person claims authority, HookedUp.org may pause edits or access, request additional evidence, contact the business through public channels, preserve the existing listing, or restore an earlier version while the dispute is reviewed. HookedUp.org does not decide ownership or employment disputes and may require the parties to resolve them elsewhere.
4. False claims, access revocation, and removal
False claims, forged documents, impersonation, manipulation, repeated inaccurate edits, or attempts to promote unlawful activity may result in rejection, access revocation, restoration of prior information, removal of submitted material, and referral to affected parties or authorities when appropriate.
5. Edit records
HookedUp.org retains a minimal record of a claim request, evidence type, decision, and material listing changes for three years after the decision for accuracy, fraud prevention, and competing-claim review. Sensitive verification documents are deleted within 30 days after the decision, unless a legal obligation or active dispute requires longer retention. Public listings may identify that information is unverified, owner-submitted, corrected, or disputed.
6. Photos, logos, descriptions, and other submissions
By submitting content, you confirm that the information is accurate and that you own it or have permission to provide and authorize its use. You grant HookedUp.org a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, crop, resize, format, and display the content for operating and promoting the directory. You retain your ownership. Do not submit customer photos, personal data, copyrighted images, or third-party logos without the necessary consent and rights.
7. Listing decisions and appeals
HookedUp.org may decline or modify a request when evidence is insufficient, the requested content is misleading or unlawful, or the change would reduce directory accuracy. To request another review, reply with new evidence and “Listing appeal” in the subject line. Advertising payments do not control listing-verification decisions.
